As Regards Deadpan Drollery

This blog is essentially a place for me to publish and copyright© material™ (look ma, there’s actually IS a good use for the DMCA of 1998).  Moreover, it’s a method to prove when material™ was created© before used during live performance onstage®©™.

So it should go without saying, (yet due to having seen some of the mouth breathers out there during my travels I’ll state it anyway), unauthorized use or reproduction of this material is prohibited without the express written permission of the owner (he being me).  Thank you for your support.

Comedians I like who have consistently made me laugh:

George Carlin (A god)

Louis C K

Sarah Silverman (I’ve loved this woman since she was on SNL, so much so I married a petite Jewess!)

Zach Galifianakis (Has made me laugh so hard I almost pissed my pants, thank god there was no line!)

Bill Hicks (This man was one of the best of all time.)

Sam Kinison (Thankfully I got to see him do a show live in 89, or 90, at the University of South Florida)

David Cross

Dave Chappelle

Tina Fey

Lewis Black

Patton Oswald

Brian Posehn

Maria Bamford

Albert Brooks

Bob Newhart

Richard Pryor

Steve Martin

Flight of the Conchords

David Letterman

Norm MacDonald (Sarcastic as hell and GREAT)

Dennis Leary (was a great stand up, too bad he decided to become a full time actor)

Bill Maher (I’m still pissed they pulled Politically Incorrect off the networks, happily I have HBO)

Dennis Miller (Was great before he became a conservative, what’s up with that?)

Eddie Murphy (Great stand up in the 80’s and 90’s, then he started making kiddie movies)

Martin Mull

Bill Murray

John Belushi

Joe Rogan

Freddie Prinze (one of the first comedians that made me think when I was a kid in the late 70’s)

Gilda Radner

Chris Rock

Jim Gaffigan

Martin Sargent (it’s tech humor but he’s a funny guy)

Jerry Seinfeld (come on he’s on everyone’s list right?)

Harry Shearer

Christopher Guest (also probably one of the funniest film makers in existence)

David Spade (he’s good at his schtick)

Julia Sweeney

Wanda Sykes

Harry Anderson ( I got to see him on the street once in New Orleans, before Night Court)

Larry David

All of the ‘Kids in the Hall’

Lily Tomlin (she used to have some really funny stand up in the 80’s)

Damon Wayans

Robin Williams (I remember seeing him on HBO in the late 70’s and just being blown away at the maniac!)

Flip Wilson

Steven Wright

Jonathan Winters

Robert Wuhl

Cheech and Chong

Monty Python

Penn and Teller

Jon Stewart

Jimmy Kimmel (Notice I put him far away from Sarah Silverman, she should be mine, I’m portly too, 1 year younger than him and funnier!)

…. I know what your saying, “Is that all?” Actually probably not but you get the idea!

If you’d care to know more about what I do for a day job: I’d prefer you laugh AT me…..no really!

Originally, I had Jonathan Winters in my honorable mention of my Top 5, but my list grew too large. I like the majority of your choices. I really dig both of the Belushi’s, Sam Kinison, Gilda Radner, Rodney Dangerfield (where is he on the list?), and Dennis Miller.

kudos for mentioning Newhart. he is often overlooked and underrated as a comedian.

Still pissed off about Maher’s show too (although I hear the man is a total asshole – but do I care? Not really!)
No Sacha Baron Cohen in the list? Ali G? Come on! His first interviews are simply brilliant!

    Are f—–g Ben Affleck too?
